Paula Patton and Derek Luke are reuniting for a love story set on Martha’s Vineyard.
The two will star alongside Janet Hubert in Lifetime’s new original movie Love on the Vineyard, premiering Nov. 21.
Tracey E. Edmonds executive produces the film about a commercial real estate executive from Washington, D.C. named Jordan (Patton), who returns to Martha’s Vineyard with her teenage daughter after years away.
During her getaway, she reconnects with Eric (Luke), her former summer love. Jordan also gets caught up in a fight to save a historic inn in Oak Bluffs that holds special meaning for the island’s Black community.
“As Jordan works to protect the property, she must navigate grief, family tensions, and the possibility of a second chance at love,” according to the official description.

The project brings Patton and Luke back together on screen after they appeared together in the 2013 romantic comedy Baggage Claim from filmmaker David E. Talbert.
The new movie shines a spotlight on Oak Bluffs, a historic Black community on Martha’s Vineyard, off the coast of Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
Love on the Vineyard is produced by Edmonds Entertainment and Fox Entertainment Studios. In addition to Edmonds, executive producers include Larry Grimaldi, Hannah Pillemer and Fernando Szew. Tailiah Breon directs from a script by Camille Tucker.
Love on the Vineyard premieres Saturday, Nov. 21, at 8/7c on Lifetime and closes out the network’s fall “Love of a Lifetime” slate.
The other films are Terry McMillan Presents: Paradise with You and One Last Shot, premiering Nov. 14.
Paradise with You stars Taye Diggs and Heather Hemmens. Diggs plays “Carter,” an NFL superstar on the brink of retirement, who jets off to the Caribbean island of Nevis to reset his life and finds romance.
The supporting cast includes RHOA star Cynthia Bailey, All American actor Troy Brookins, and content creator-musician Q Stenline aka SwagBoyQ.
Tisha Campbell leads the cast, executive produces and co-wrote One Last Shot about a single mother who has devoted her life to her church and her son, when the teen is suddenly diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. AJ Johnson also stars in the film.
