Tisha Campbell and AJ Johnson to Reunite in Lifetime’s ‘One Last Shot’

Tisha Campbell is returning to Lifetime as the star and executive producer of the upcoming original movie One Last Shot.

The film is scheduled to premiere  Saturday, Nov. 14, on the network.

Campbell leads the cast as Joy Walker, a single mother who has devoted her life to caring for her church, her community and her teenage son Chaz, a rising basketball phenom, played by Jaden Lucas Miller.

When tragedy strikes and Chaz is suddenly diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor, his mother is forced to lean on her ex Royce, played by Charles Malik Whitfield, for support.

“Joy begins to realize that a lifetime of living for others has left her with no idea who she is on her own,” according to the official description.

As the overwhelmed mom navigates rising medical bills and tending to her ailing son, she discovers saving herself may be the first step toward saving the people she loves most.

AJ Johnson also stars in the film, which reunites the actress with Campbell after they starred together in House Party, a 1990 comedy that became a cult classic.

Campbell is best known for her roles on the hit comedy series Martin, My Wife and Kids, and the Spike Lee film School Daze.

The actress co-wrote the script for One Last Shot with Dani Wright.

Erica Sutherlin, whose credits include Kirk Franklin’s A Gospel Christmas, directs the movie.

The new film joins the network’s 2026 “Love of a Lifetime” slate, with additional titles to be announced later.

The 2025 slate included the films Eric Jerome Dickey’s Friends and Lovers; Terry McMillan Presents: His, Hers & Ours; Terry McMillan Presents: Preach, Pray, Love; and Toni Braxton’s He Wasn’t Man Enough.

One Last Shot is produced by FOX Entertainment Studios.

Adam Shepard, Larry Grimaldi, Hannah Pillemer and Fernando Szew executive produce for the studio, while Dani Wright serves as co-executive producer alongside Mychael G. Chinn.

Fox Entertainment Global will distribute the film internationally.
