Keyshia Cole spilled the tea on the season premiere of TV’s Uncensored as to why she and Eve had a falling out.
The singer and star of Keyshia Cole: All In was featured on the March 6 episode of the autobiographical series, and explained how her upbringing in Oakland influenced the way she reacted to things, including one incident that caused her friendship with Eve to implode.
“When I came straight from Oakland, it was still in me,” Cole said, admitting she had a hot temper.
“It took a long time to learn to not put my hands on people,” she said in a clip from the show posted on TV One’s Instagram page.

“It was a thing that happened with Eve. You know we were walking out and someone grabbed her bag or something like that, and I turned around and slapped the girl,” Cole recalled.
“Eve was really pissed off about that and we stopped hanging out,” she continued.
The “Trust” artist said at first she was confused about Eve’s reaction.
“I slapped somebody for you, what the f–k is this?” she said. “But it taught me a lot later too —even being who I am today,” she said. Eve was featured on Cole’s 2004 debut single “Never.” They also co-wrote the song together.
The 40-year-old “Heaven Sent” singer also insisted in the interview she’s “misunderstood.”
“I’ve said all the sh-t I had to say. I let y’all see all the sh-t that I wanted y’all to see, and I’m still misunderstood,” she said.
Uncensored airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on TV One. This weekend’s episode will feature Stevie J.
