Jussie Smollett Makes Red Carpet Return for Atlanta Premiere of ‘B-Boy Blues’ (Photos)

Jussie Smollett put his legal troubles behind him for a night, to celebrate the premiere of his directorial debut B-Boy Blues.

Smollett joined about 200 others on Wednesday, June 8, at Silverspot Cinema in Atlanta for a special screening of the film.

Other attendees included the film’s executive producer, Mona Scott-Young; cast members Thomas Mackie and Timothy Richardson; writer James Earl Hardy; and Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss.

The movie follows the same-sex love story of a college educated journalist from Brooklyn and a homeboy-bike messenger from Harlem.

The drama is an adaptation of James Earl Hardy’s best-selling novel, with the script co-written by Hardy and Smollett.

B-Boy Blues was financed by Smollett and Cleveland-based radio broadcast investor Tom Wilson for A SuperMassive Movie.  In addition to Mona Scott-Young, executive producers include Hardy, Madia Hill-Scott, and Stephanie Gayle for Monami Entertainment. Frank Gatson also serves as executive producer alongside Sampson McCormick and Stephanie Frederic.

The movie began streaming June 9 on BET+. Check out the photos from the Atlanta premiere below.
