Christina Aguilera and Mya took the stage together Saturday in Los Angeles to belt out “Lady Marmalade” at the LA Pride musical festival.
Aguilera headlined the event called “LA Pride in the Park,” and invited Mya to join her for a performance of their hit single from the film Moulin Rouge!
Decked out in yellow bodysuits, feathers and fringe, the two strutted across the stage, bringing fans to their feet. The singers were joined by the cast of “Moulin Rouge! The Musical,” an announcer said.

“Lady Marmalade” was released in 2001 and also featured Lil’ Kim and Pink. The Grammy-winning single was a remake of the 1974 track performed by the group Labelle.
After the Moulin Rouge! medley, Paris Hilton did a DJ set and performed her song “Stars Are Blind.”
Other performers at the all-day LA Pride music fest included Anitta, Syd, Chika and Michaela Jaé. The outdoor event was held at LA State Historic Park, with thousands of people attending.
The celebration of LGBTQ pride continued today with the 52nd Annual LA Pride Parade after a two year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Paula Abdul served as the parade’s “Icon Grand Marshal,” Ugly Betty and Hacks actor Mark Indelicato was the “Celebrity Grand Marshal,” and nightclub performer and LGBTQ activist Sir Lady Java served as “Community Grand Marshal.”
This year, the parade was relocated from West Hollywood to Hollywood Blvd. in the city of Los Angeles. It featured floats, marchers, trucks, exotic cars, twirlers, and performers. Produced by Christopher Street West, the event is one of the largest Pride parades in the nation. You can find more details about the parade on the official LA Pride website.
