Jeffrey Wright is joining the cast of Spike Lee’s upcoming remake of the film, High and Low.
Wright will star alongside Denzel Washington in the project, which is described as a “reimagining” of a 1963 crime thriller from late Japanese director Akira Kurosawa, Variety reported Tuesday.
Kurosawa’s version followed a shoe company exec who landed at the center of an extortion plot when his chauffeur’s son was kidnapped by mistake and held for ransom.
