The trailer for the House Party remake is out and it’s wild.
Warner Bros. released the first trailer for the film on Friday, and it offers a mix of newer and older generation vibes. The video features a slew of celebrities, familiar faces from the original 1990 comedy, and throwback party tracks like Juvenile’s “Back That Thang Up.”
The new film stars Jacob Latimore and Tosin Cole as Kevin and Damon — aspiring club promoters who are struggling financially. Kevin can’t pay for his daughter’s school, and after the two friends get fired from their house cleaning job, they decide to cash in by throwing a huge party at a client’s mansion, which happens to belong to LeBron James.

The remake is produced by James and his business partner Maverick Carter.
In the trailer, you can see James in a cameo through a hologram of himself, that gives the NBA star compliments about his decision to play in Miami and pokes fun at his hairline.
The original House Party starred Christopher “Kid” Reid and Christopher “Play” Martin of the rap duo Kid ‘n Play, as teens who had a wild night with music and fun at a house party.
Kid ‘n Play make a cameo appearance in the trailer, along with Snoop Dog, Kid Cudi, Tinashe, Lil Wayne, Anthony Davis, and Lena Waithe.
The House Party reboot is scheduled to arrive in theaters on Jan. 13, 2023.
