Megan Thee Stallion said she’s “physically and emotionally” exhausted, and plans to take a break from the spotlight after thieves broke into her Los Angeles home.
The “Hot Girl Summer” rapper took to Twitter on Friday, to say she would be stepping away from the spotlight following her appearance this weekend on Saturday Night Live.
“Material things can be replaced but I’m glad everyone is safe,” she wrote.
Five minutes later, she added, “Hotties im really sorry but after SNL I really gotta take a break. I’m so tired, physically and emotionally.”

Thieves broke into the hip-hop star’s home in the Hollywood Hills on Thursday, Oct. 13, and got away with hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of personal items.
The suspects were recorded on security video ransacking the home, the Los Angeles Times reported. Preliminary estimates said the culprits stole about $300,000 in jewels, cash and other valuables.
TMZ reported the thieves “raided her bedroom” after entering the house by smashing a glass door. Megan was not home at the time.
It’s likely she was in New York City preparing to host and serve as musical guest on the Oct. 15 episode on SNL. The NBC sketch series posted promos on social media Thursday, showing Megan on the set in New York.
Thieves in Los Angeles frequently target the homes of the wealthy and the famous.
Just last month, two handguns were stolen from the home of L.A. mayoral candidate, Rep. Karen Bass, in the Baldwin Vista neighborhood. Bass said the guns were registered and stored in a lockbox. Days later, two suspects were arrested in connection with the crime, the LAPD said.
