Grammy Nominations 2023: Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Latto Score Multiple Nods

The 2023 Grammy nominations were announced Tuesday morning in 91 categories, with Beyoncé, Kedrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, Latto, Doja Cat, and Lizzo picking up nominations.

Beyoncé leads the competition with nine nominations, including Album of the Year for her dance album Renaissance and Record of the Year for “Break My Soul.” The singer-songwriter now has a total of 88 nominations to date, which ties her with husband Jay-Z for the most nominated artist in Grammys history, the Recording Academy said in a press release. Over the years, Beyoncé has taken home a record 28 Grammys.

Also picking up multiple nods this year — Kendrick Lamar received eight nominations, including Album of the Year for Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers.

Latto received nominations for Best New Artist and Best Melodic Rap Performance for “Big Energy.”

The 2023 Grammys will air live on Sunday, Feb. 5, from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The awards will be broadcast on CBS and stream live on Paramount+.
