The 2023 Grammy nominations were announced Tuesday morning in 91 categories, with Beyoncé, Kedrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, Latto, Doja Cat, and Lizzo picking up nominations.
Beyoncé leads the competition with nine nominations, including Album of the Year for her dance album Renaissance and Record of the Year for “Break My Soul.” The singer-songwriter now has a total of 88 nominations to date, which ties her with husband Jay-Z for the most nominated artist in Grammys history, the Recording Academy said in a press release. Over the years, Beyoncé has taken home a record 28 Grammys.
Also picking up multiple nods this year — Kendrick Lamar received eight nominations, including Album of the Year for Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers.
