Garcelle Beauvais Joins ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Season 10

Garcelle Beauvais is making history as the first African American woman to join the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

The model and actress, whose on-screen credits include The Jamie Foxx Show, NYPD Blue, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and the upcoming Coming 2 America is boarding the reality series for season 10, Bravo announced Thursday.

“I am excited and proud to be joining the cast of such a wildly popular and beloved show like The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” Beauvais said in a statement to Bravo’s Daily Dish blog. “As a working actor who has been in the industry for some time, it’s exhilarating to have the opportunity to delve into a new chapter in the entertainment spectrum.”

Beauvais went on to acknowledge the diversity she brings to the cast.

“As the first African American housewife in the Beverly Hills franchise, I am honored and humbled by this awesome opportunity to exemplify the fact that Black Girl Magic lives and thrives in every zip code!” she continued. “I’m excited to share the many ongoing daily surprises, laughs and joys of being a working mother in today’s crazy world. The hustle is R-E-A-L!”

Beauvais has three children, and was previously married to Hollywood talent agent Mike Nilon.

Celebrity party planner Sutton Stracke is also joining RHOBH for the show’s upcoming 10th season.

“I am thrilled and honored to be joining The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” Stracke said in a statement. “As a mother to three children who is also deeply committed to my efforts in philanthropy, my life is a balancing act.”

“I am excited to share my true loves of art and fashion design, and open the doors to my world. I am looking forward to this ride and where this journey takes me. Fun times ahead for this Southern Belle in Southern California!” Stracke added.

Beauvais and Stracke join current RHOBH cast members, Lisa Rinna, Kyle Richards, Teddi Mellencamp, Dorit Kemsley, and Denise Richards.

Also Thursday, Camille Grammer confirmed she would not be returning to the series.

“I wasn’t asked back. It’s fine. I did my time on the show. And it’s Kyle’s show,” she responded to a fan on Twitter.

Season 10 of the series is expected to premiere in 2020.
