Sean “Diddy” Combs has been moved out of Federal Correctional Institution Fort Dix in New Jersey amid scrutiny over his life behind bars.
The New York Times reported Friday the music mogul was recently transferred to a different federal prison in Allenwood, Pennsylvania.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed the Bad Boy Records founder is now incarcerated at FCI Allenwood Low, but did not disclose the reason for the transfer.
“For privacy, safety and security reasons, we do not discuss the conditions of confinement for any individual in our custody, including reasons for transfer,” a BOP spokesperson told the Times.
The low-security prison is located in central Pennsylvania, south of Williamsport. Fort Dix is also a low-security facility.
The move follows conflicting reports about a head injury that reportedly sent Combs, 56, to a hospital earlier this month.
Page Six reported the mogul was injured after he accidentally “smacked his head” on the bunk bed above him at FCI Fort Dix.
But a conflicting report from TMZ said he was taken to a hospital after a fight with Jamaican drug kingpin Christopher “Dudus” Coke.
The BOP disputed the fight report, saying it was false.
TMZ claimed sources revealed Coke and other inmates were furious about the media attention Combs had brought to the prison following a bombshell NBC News report detailing alleged infractions and potentially illegal activity.
The network alleged Combs was living like a king behind bars, with fellow inmates cooking for him, cleaning, doing his laundry and providing massages. NBC also published pictures and video that appeared to show Combs holding a contraband cellphone.
Some outlets reported the additional attention on the prison led to sweeps for contraband phones affecting other inmates.
Combs also reportedly faced disciplinary action during his time at Fort Dix for getting into fights.
The mogul is serving a 50-month prison sentence after being convicted in July 2025 on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
He is currently scheduled to be released on March 2, 2028.
