Court TV is going all in with its coverage of the “Trial of the Century.”
The newly-relaunched cable network is set to air a massive 37-part docuseries titled OJ25 for the 25th anniversary of the O.J. Simpson murder trial.
OJ25 will premiere in January 2020, on the same week the trial started, The Wrap reported from the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour.

Each episode will present, explore and contextualize the main events of the trial coinciding with the same week 25 years earlier. Legal analyst Roger Cossack will host the series.
The coverage will include interviews with key players in the case and go behind-the-scenes of the 1995 trial, which saw Simpson acquitted in the killings of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman.
“Everyone knows one line from Johnnie Cochran. They don’t know what really happened,” said Scott Tufts, vice president and managing editor for Court TV. “For many viewers under the age of 40, this will be their first opportunity to see the trial.”
Also on Court TV’s upcoming docket is gavel-to-gavel coverage of the Harvey Weinstein rape trial in New York, which is scheduled to start in September.
Court TV launched in 1991 with a focus on crime-themed shows, legal dramas, and live coverage of high-profile court cases. In 2008, the cable channel was rebranded as TruTV. It relaunched as Court TV on May 8, 2019.
The network’s current on-camera talent roster includes anchors Vinnie Politan, Seema Iyer and Julie Grant. They’re joined by legal correspondent Chanley Painter and veteran crime and justice journalists Ted Rowlands and Julia Jenaé.
