Chrisley Knows Best stars Todd Chrisley and wife Julie Chrisley have been pardoned by President Donald Trump.

On Tuesday, May 28, CNN reported Trump signed “full pardons” for the reality TV couple.

This comes after Trump adviser Margo Martin posted a video on the X platform showing the president phoning the couple’s daughter Savannah Chrisley to inform her of his plans.

“It’s a terrible thing. But it’s a great thing because your parents are going to be free and clean, and I hope we can do it by tomorrow,” he told Savannah on the call.

“I don’t know them, but give them my regards,” he added as Alice Johnson, who Trump pardoned during his first term and who now serves as his “pardon czar,” stood next to him.

Savannah said she was walking into Sam’s Club when she got the news.

“I have shed so many tears,” she shared on Instagram. “Both of my parents are coming home tonight or tomorrow, and I still don’t believe it’s real. I’m freaking out.”

Savannah is no stranger to the administration. She spoke at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee in July 2024.

Todd and Julie were sentenced in 2022 after a federal jury found them guilty of a multi-million dollar fraud scheme. Todd received 12 years in prison, while Julie was sentenced to seven years.

This followed their indictment in 2019 after a lengthy investigation.

At that time, prosecutors said the couple conspired to defraud community banks in the Atlanta area, securing more than $30 million in personal loans.

They were also convicted of tax evasion, failing to file tax returns or pay taxes for the years 2013 through 2016.

According to the federal indictment, the couple used the money to buy luxury cars, designer clothes, real estate and travel, and used new loans to pay off old ones. After spending the funds, Todd Chrisley filed for bankruptcy and “walked away from more than $20 million of the fraudulently obtained loans,” prosecutors said.

The family gained fame with their USA Network reality series Chrisley Knows Best, which premiered in 2014 and ran for 10 seasons, ending in 2023.

A spinoff, Growing Up Chrisley, focusing on their children Chase and Savannah, debuted in 2019. But both shows were canceled amid the couple’s legal troubles.
