Todd and Julie star on the USA Network series Chrisley Knows Best, which follows Georgia real estate mogul Todd and his family’s extravagant lifestyle.
The series has run for seven seasons, and the spinoff Growing up Chrisley, focusing on their children Chase and Savannah, premiered in April.
Before the indictment was handed down, Todd took to Instagram to deny the claims.
“There’s been a cloud hanging over Julie and me and our entire family for the past seven years. It all started back in 2012, when we discovered that a trusted employee of ours had been stealing from us big time,” Todd began.
“Not only do we know we’ve done nothing wrong, but we’ve got a ton of hard evidence and a bunch of corroborating witnesses that proves it,” he continued.
Todd alleged a former employee was stealing from the family, created false documents, forged their signatures and bugged their home. He also claimed the ex-employee retaliated against the family by giving investigators “phony documents.”
