‘Belle Collective’ EP Carlos King Lands First-Look Deal With OWN

Belle Collective executive producer Carlos King and his production company Kingdom Reign Entertainment have inked a first-look deal with OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network.

“At Kingdom Reign Entertainment, our goal is to develop and provide entertaining stories featuring successful African Americans in every corner of the country, with bold personalities that ignite something in all of us. We can’t think of better collaborators than OWN with which to accomplish this,” King said in a statement Tuesday.

Added OWN President Tina Perry, “With the success of our expanded unscripted lineup to two nights, we look forward to our continued partnership with Carlos to develop buzzy new shows with big characters that attract audiences.”

King posted about the announcement on his Instagram account, writing: “Are y’all ready to be entertained?!?! Humbled and honored. Thank you Ms. Winfrey, Tina Perry, Robyn Lattaker-Johnson and the entire @owntv family. ???? #Godisgood”

Besides creating and executive producing Belle Collective, King is also behind the OWN unscripted series Love & Marriage: Huntsville and Behind Every Man.

Love & Marriage: Huntsville has become a hit for the network and was recently picked up for a third season.

Belle Collective premiered in January 2021. The reality series follows the relationships and businesses of five successful Black women in Jackson, Mississippi.
