The late Cameron Boyce can be seen in the new trailer, released Friday, for Paradise City.
The musical drama series centers on the lives of a rock star with ties to the occult and a young kid who idolizes him, as they cross paths through their broken homes.

“Cameron Boyce stars as a leading character ‘Simon’ in all eight episodes of the first season of Paradise City,” the show’s official Instagram account said in a recent post. “The series was filmed just months before his tragic passing. He gave us an incredible performance as a young musician, band leader and aspiring DIY executive in the music business. Cameron was a truly one of a kind spectacular talent.”
The ensemble cast includes Andy Black, Bella Thorne, Fairuza Balk, BooBoo Stewart, Mark Boone Jr, Olivia Culpo, and more.
The show is expected to premiere this year, but a release date and network home have not yet been announced.
The Hollywood Reporter says the series was Boyce’s final screen project before he died.
The 20-year-old actor was best known for his role in Disney Channel’s The Descendants and Jessie. He passed away at his home in North Hollywood on July 6, 2019. The Los Angeles County coroner’s office later said he died from an epileptic seizure.
A portion of the series’ profits will be donated to The Cameron Boyce Foundation, which was created by his parents.
