Naomie Harris is fighting to expose corrupt cops, but first she has to survive.
Harris stars in the upcoming Sony/Screen Gems thriller, Black and Blue, as rookie cop Alicia West, who accidentally witnesses her partners kill a drug dealer. Alicia recorded the shooting on her body cam, but when the crooked cops realize she caught the crime on tape, they set out to kill her before she can upload the footage and expose them.
Alicia manages to escape, but her troubles are far from over when the cops claim she’s the killer and put a bounty on her head. As Alicia runs out of options, she turns to her old friend Milo “Mouse” Jackson, played by Tyrese Gibson, for help.

Black and Blue is directed by Deon Taylor (The Intruder, Traffik). Just before the trailer debuted Sunday night at the BET Awards, Taylor walked the blue carpet and told Urban Hollywood 411 he was thrilled to introduce the film to BET viewers.
“It’s a surreal moment. I’m just coming off The Intruder, so now to have another film getting ready to drop is really special for me, but I’m more excited about what the film represents,” Taylor said.
“It’s a nightmare situation,” he added about Alicia’s plight. “But it falls in line of a few other movies like Sicario, Heat, or Training Day, except we have a lot of cultural movement buttons inside the movie.”
Harris and Gibson are joined in the cast by Frank Grillo, Mike Colter, Beau Knapp, Nafessa Williams and Reid Scott. Black and Blue arrives in theaters on October 25.
