Radio and television personality Big Tigger has broken his silence after he was arrested and charged with aggravated battery and cruelty to children following a domestic dispute.
The Atlanta radio host, whose legal name is Darian Morgan, was taken into custody on Saturday, June 20, in Sandy Springs, Georgia.
According to Fulton County jail records, he was charged with aggravated battery and third-degree cruelty to children. The records show Morgan posted $10,000 bond and was released the day of his arrest.

Late Wednesday afternoon, June 24, he released a statement on social media and said the allegations are untrue.
“I unequivocally deny every allegation that has been made against me,” the statement read. “For the past 30+ years, I have built my life around relationships and community. Those who know me know the man, father, husband, and friend I have been throughout my life.”
He continued, “Because this is an active legal matter, I am limited in what I can say. What I can say is that I have complete confidence in the facts and in the legal process. I will continue to cooperate fully and trust that the truth will come to light. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with support and encouragement. My family and I are deeply grateful.”

Morgan has deep ties to the music industry. He hosted BET’s Rap City from 1998 to 2005 and currently works as a host on Atlanta’s V-103 radio station.
Local news station WSB-TV obtained a copy of the arrest affidavit, which detailed the incident that led to Morgan being taken into custody. The affidavit said the media personality and his wife Alicia Brown got into a heated argument over text messages he reportedly received from a female co-worker.
Brown said Morgan yelled at her, saying: “You’re psycho,” according to police.

The affidavit said Morgan then started recording Brown with his phone. Brown told officers she tried to grab the phone from his hand, and he allegedly tackled her to the floor as they struggled over the phone. Brown said she sustained a small bruise to her lower lip during the altercation.
Brown told officers she went to the couple’s basement where they share an office and told Morgan, “I will show you psycho.”
She alleged Morgan came up behind her, grabbed her arms, and told her to stop. Brown said she yelled at Morgan to “leave me alone and take your hands off me.”
Authorities alleged Morgan “shoved the victim, causing the victim to stumble headfirst into an office door.” The report said Brown suffered a deep cut above her left eye, leading to the battery charge. Authorities included the cruelty to children charge because the couple’s 13-year-old son was at home and heard everything.
The altercation was captured on a RING camera inside the couple’s office, according to police.
After Brown went to an urgent care clinic, police were called to investigate. Officers with the Sandy Springs Police Department said she initially refused to cooperate, saying she “was afraid of what [Morgan] might do to me, and because he is a well-known celebrity and nobody would believe me.”
The couple’s marital problems made headlines on June 7, when Brown posted a tearful video on social media revealing injuries to her face. She accused her husband of cheating and abuse in the footage.
On June 12, Big Tigger responded with a statement on social media saying he did nothing wrong.
“I want to say categorically that these allegations and accusations that have been circulating are false,” he said.
