Basketball Wives star Jennifer Williams and her fiancé Christian Gold had a picture perfect wedding last September in Paris. But was the ceremony just a flex for Instagram?
For months there’s been speculation that the marriage wasn’t legal.
Shortly after the ceremony, former Tea G-I-F co-host Al Reynolds said on his YouTube channel that there was no marriage certificate on record for the couple.
Then last week during an argument on Basketball Wives, Jennifer’s castmate Evelyn Lozada told her to “stop faking” being a wife because her marriage wasn’t legal. That’s in addition to the insults about Christian being a convicted felon.
“He’s not your husband, he’s your boyfriend,” Evelyn said.
The other women appeared shocked by what they were hearing.
“How are you married, but you’re not? Who are you doing it for?” Brittany Renner asked.

Fast forward to the Monday, May 26 episode and Jennifer came clean. She said she was planning a “legal wedding” is Las Vegas.
Here’s what happened on the episode: Jackie Christie, Ming Lee, and Brandi Maxiell made the Vegas wedding invite list. Evelyn did not.
Since Jennifer scheduled the wedding for the same day as Evelyn’s birthday, Brandi decided to put together a birthday getaway in Vegas for the entire cast.
Denise Reann Garcia said in a confessional, she was looking forward to the trip.
“I’m excited to go to Vegas. I’ve been stuck in mommy mode, so it will be nice to get away for a while,” Denise shared.
Some of the women were driven from Los Angeles in luxury vans. Others flew. Once they arrived in Vegas, Brandi told the group she had invited Jen to the house where they were staying, which of course led to drama.
“It just doesn’t make sense and now I’m starting to question Brandi,” Evelyn said about the decision to invite her former friend over.
“I love Jennifer, but I would have ever invited her here,” Ming added.
“I didn’t want to be rude,” Brandi told the group.
As tensions escalated, Ming and Brandi got into an argument over applying makeup and properly seasoning food.
Ming’s ex Ty Young said they were being petty.
“Brandi, what is wrong?” Jackie asked when she heard the yelling. Otherwise, Jackie avoided the drama.
At the end of the episode, Jennifer decided to stop by the house, although she said she did not want to see Evelyn.
“I came to Vegas to get married. I did not come here for drama and honestly, that’s really all that Evelyn brings — drama, drama, drama,” Jennifer said.
Christian decided to wait in the car. The episode ended with the doorbell ringing.
Basketball Wives airs Monday nights on VH1.
