Bad Boys 4 starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence will arrive in theaters next year.
In a recent announcement, Sony Pictures said the film will be released on June 14, 2024.
The fourth installment of the franchise reunites Miami cops Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett four years after the last film — Bad Boys for Life opened on Jan. 17, 2020.
Despite debuting just weeks before COVID-19 lockdowns began around the country, the film earned $206 million domestically and banked a total $426.5 million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo.

The new installment will be directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, who helmed Bad Boys for Life.
Sony also announced its Venom 3 sequel will be released on July 12, 2024.
Tom Hardy, Juno Temple, and Chiwetel Ejiofor lead the cast of the film. Kelly Marcel is directing after writing the scripts for the previous installments of the franchise.
The release date announcements come as Sony shuffles some of its big upcoming films, including Gran Turismo and Ghostbusters: Afterlife 2, because of the ongoing Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
The strikes have brought production to a halt on movies and scripted TV shows, and there’s no end in sight to either work stoppage.
Writers went on strike against major studios and streamers on May 2. While actors represented by SAG-AFTRA joined the picket line on July 14.
Both unions are seeking improved residual payments for streaming, as well as safeguards against artificial intelligence taking their jobs.
