NBC is ready for the holidays with its slate of programming for the next two months, including Annie Live! starring Taraji P. Henson and newcomer Celina Smith.
The network announced its programming slate in a press release Wednesday, with Annie Live! set to debut on Dec. 2.
“From family favorites like Christmas in Rockefeller Center to the highly anticipated Annie Live!, this will surely be a holiday to remember starting with Thanksgiving through New Year’s Day,” said Jen Neal, executive vice president of entertainment live events, specials and E! News, NBCUniversal Television and streaming.

Annie Live! is one of NBC’s most-anticipated holiday specials. The televised musical will feature a star-studded cast, including Henson, Harry Connick Jr., Nicole Scherzinger, Tituss Burgess, and Jane Krakowski. Songs including “Tomorrow,” “It’s A Hard-Knock Life” and “Little Girls” will be part of the event.
First up for NBC’s holiday programming slate will be a Saturday Night Live Thanksgiving airing on Wednesday, Nov. 24, at 9 p.m. ET.
The 95th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade will air on Thanksgiving morning at 9 a.m. ET.
The 89th Annual Christmas in Rockefeller Center will showcase performances and the lighting of the Rockefeller Christmas tree on Wednesday, Dec. 1 starting at 8 p.m. ET.
Annie Live! will premiere Thursday, Dec. 2 at 8 p.m. ET and then repeat Dec. 20 at 8 p.m.
Christmas Eve mass will be broadcast from St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome on Friday, Dec. 24 at 11:30 p.m ET.
NBC’s holiday programming will also conclude with the Pasadena Rose Parade on Saturday, Jan. 1 at 11:30 a.m ET.
