9-1-1 will make an explosive debut on ABC this March.

On Friday, Dec. 29, the network released a tension-filled promo for season 7 of the hit first responder series.

The video shows a fire erupt on a massive cruise ship.

“I’m on a cruise ship, there was an explosion,” a frantic passenger tells a 9-1-1 operator as the ship flips over and begins to sink.

It’s unclear if this is the same cruise liner that Athena (Angela Bassett) and Bobby (Peter Krause) set sail on for their honeymoon last season.

The series follows the lives of Los Angeles police officers, paramedics, firefighters, and dispatchers as they respond to calls for help.

The cast also includes Jennifer Love Hewitt, Oliver Stark, Aisha Hinds, Kenneth Choi, and Ryan Guzman.

After six seasons, Fox opted not to pick up the drama for a seventh season. ABC quickly threw the series a lifeline and in May announced it would join the alphabet network’s 2023-2024 season.

Days later, Urban Hollywood 411 caught up with Aisha Hinds on the picket line after the Writers Guild of America went on strike. Hinds called it a “blessing” that ABC had picked up 9-1-1.

The series premiered in 2018, and last season was the No. 1 broadcast drama in the coveted adults 18-49 (1.0/8) demo, per Nielsen figures.

Produced by 20th Television in association with Ryan Murphy Television and Brad Falchuk Teley-Vision, the show was created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear. Executive producers include Alexis Martin Woodall, Angela Bassett, Peter Krause, John J. Gray, Kristen Reidel and Juan Carlos Coto.

9-1-1 season 7 debuts Thursday, March 14 on ABC. Past seasons are streaming on Hulu in the U.S.
