A$AP Relli has commented for the first time since jurors acquitted his former friend A$AP Rocky of felony assault charges.

A$AP Rocky (born Rakim Mayers), was found not guilty on Tuesday of two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm. The charges came as a result of a 2021 altercation with A$AP Relli, the stage name of ex-rapper Terell Ephron.

A$AP Rocky could have faced up to two decades in prison if convicted, thanks to the jury he walked away a free man.

An Instagram post by A$AP Relli responded to the abuse being piled on by social media followers in the wake of the verdict, many branding him a rat, snitch and liar. The insults were capped by radio host Charlamagne Tha God, who tagged A$AP Relli as “Donkey of the Day” on The Breakfast Club show.

A$AP Relli was defiant in his response.

“Gossiping is a form of entertainment for people who have no meaningful goals or purpose in life, hate me, bring shame to my name, say bad things about me, I don’t care. Your existence doesn’t add any value in my life,” he said and included an emoji of praying hands.
