If you missed I Love Boosters in theaters, you’ll soon be able to watch it at home.

Neon, the independent distributor behind the crime comedy, announced Monday the film will be available for digital purchase beginning June 23, ahead of its Blu-Ray/4K and DVD release in September.

The film from writer-director Boots Riley opened in theaters across the U.S. and Canada on May 22. It earned $3.7 million during its opening weekend and grossed $9.4 million over its theatrical run, according to Box Office Mojo.

The film is set in Oakland and offers a critique of capitalism. It follows a group of female shoplifters, led by Keke Palmer, who steal high-end merchandise from designer stores to resell the items at discounted prices.

The crew targets an exploitative fashion mogul played by Demi Moore, who is unapologetic and describes the boosters as “low class.” Naomi Ackie, Poppy Liu, LaKeith Stanfield, Don Cheadle, Eiza González, Will Poulter, and Mahdi Cocci also have roles in the film.

Riley revealed in an interview with Essence that he approached Palmer about taking a role in the film by sending her a direct message on social media.

“I DM’d Keke on Instagram. I asked her, ‘You want to read a script?’ She was like, ‘Yeah.’ We talked on the phone, and then we went and had lunch,” the filmmaker shared.

“I saw a performance from her in the movie Pimp—I saw her before I met with her. I saw her doing something very different from what she had been doing in previous films, which was a certain cadence, a certain way of being,” he added. “And then when I talked to her, I saw parts of her that hadn’t come forward in movies before.”

After casting Palmer, Riley said it became easier to attract additional talent to the project.

“Once you have Keke, then you have a magnet pulling things and you have a way to kind of orchestrate others,” he explained.

I Love Boosters debuted in March at the 2026 SXSW festival and received praise from critics. It has a strong 92% score on Rotten Tomatoes after being reviewed by more than 140 critics.

The film will be available for digital purchase starting Tuesday, June 23, and arrives on Blu-Ray/4K and DVD Sept. 22, 2026.

The Blu-Ray and DVD editions include bonus features such as commentary from Riley, never-before-seen cast interviews, a blooper reel, and a behind-the-scenes featurette. You can watch the trailer for the film here.
