‘The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins’ Gets Season 2 Renewal

The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins stars (L-R) Daniel Radcliffe, Erika Alexander, Tracy Morgan)

The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins got good news this week.

The sports comedy from executive producers Tina Fey, Tracy Morgan, Eric Gurian, and David Miner was renewed for a second season, NBC announced Tuesday.

Morgan leads the cast as disgraced former football star Reggie Dinkins whose career ended after a gambling scandal. Daniel Radcliffe plays award-winning filmmaker Arthur Tobin, who’s hired to make a documentary to help Reggie rehabilitate his image.

Erika Alexander co-stars as Reggie’s ex-wife and agent Monica. Bobby Moynihan plays Reggie’s close friend and former teammate Rusty. Precious Way portrays Reggie’s supportive fiancée Brina. Jalyn Hall plays Reggie and Monica’s son Carmelo, who has grown up in his dad’s shadow.

The season 1 guest cast included Corbin Bernsen, Craig Robinson, Heidi Gardner, Anna Camp, Ronny Chieng, Drew Scheid, and Megan Thee Stallion.

Robert Carlock and Sam Means served as co-showrunners, writers and executive producers.

The ten-episode first season was initially scheduled to debut in February. But NBC moved the premiere up to Jan. 18, so it would follow an NFL playoff game.

The freshman series became the #1 new comedy of the 2025-26 broadcast season in the 18-49 demographic, according to ratings data from NBC.

The season concluded in April and averaged a 0.38 rating in the 18-49 demo and 2.24 million viewers over the season, TV Series Finale reports.

The series is produced by Universal Television, Little Stranger, Inc., 3 Arts Entertainment, Bevel Gears, Means End Productions, and Streetlife Productions, Inc.
