Boxing drama Fightland is set to premiere this summer on Starz.
The cable network said Tuesday the new crime series from executive producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson will debut on July 31. Along with the announcement came first-look photos showing the cast in action — in and out of the ring.
Howard Charles (Top Boy) leads the cast as Duke Kilroy. Nicholas Pinnock (For Life and Marcella) plays Jamaican born South London criminal kingpin Kingsley Marshall. Deborah Ayorinde (Them) portrays Joy Marshall, Kingsley’s wife who wants to build an empire of her own.
The series follows former heavyweight world champion Duke, who returns to London seeking revenge on the crime family he believes destroyed his life.
Long before things went south, Duke witnessed a vicious assault that claimed his brother Calvin’s life. As a result, Duke snapped and ended up spending eight years in a U.S. prison.
Now free, he’s back in London and wants vengeance against the man he thinks set him up — criminal kingpin and former boxing promoter Kingsley Marshall.
“Working with a cartel desperate to control London’s drug market, Duke begins a high-risk game of infiltrating Kingsley’s empire to destroy it from within and smoke out his enemy,” according to the official description.

The series also stars Anita-Joy Uwajeh as Cebella “Cece” Marshall; Charles Babalola as Ezekiel “Zeek” Marshall; Tahirah Sharif as Kim Harper; Tyler Conti as Justin “Jay” Hall; and Richard Pepple as Gary “Gazzer” Kilroy.
50 Cent’s G-Unit Film & Television produces. Executive producers include Francis Hopkinson and Kate Leadbetter.
Damione Macedon and Raphael Jackson Jr. serve as showrunners, executive producers and writers. Daniel Fajemisin-Duncan and Marlon Smith are also executive producers and writers. Otto Bathurst executive produces and directs the first two episodes.
The drama is Starz’s first fully-owned series since the network split from Lionsgate in May 2025. Fightland premieres Friday, July 31 on Starz.
