Toni Braxton Loses Patience With Her Family in ‘The Braxtons’ Season 2 Trailer

The Braxtons will return this fall in what WE tv says will be a “bigger, bolder” second season.

Toni, Towanda, Trina, Tamar and Ms. Evelyn will all be back for the new season.

The network released a teaser trailer on July 24, offering a preview of what to expect.

The video shows Towanda turning up before her wedding. “I’m getting married!” she says.

Toni gets glam before she performs in front of thousands of fans. But as the family members sit down to talk, tensions soar.

“Come on y’all don’t do this,” Tamar pleads during a dispute. But Toni has had enough and jumps out of her chair. She points a finger and starts to lose it before the video ends.

According to WE tv, the new season will follow the family members as they are “forced to continue to work on healing their relationships and address unresolved issues along with new rifts, as they continue processing the intense grief from the passing of their sister, Traci.”

Season 1 of the series became the network’s most-watched first season of an original show and ranked as #2 among Black audiences in the 25-54 demographic.

The first season debuted on Aug. 9, 2024, almost four years after Braxton Family Values ended its seven-season run on WE tv in December 2020.

“The Braxtons helped create a new genre by being one of the first families to open up their lives and authentic selves to the world on television, and they’re still doing it,” Brett Dismuke, head of content at We TV and AllBlk said in a statement.

“Viewers and fans were thrilled to see Toni, Towanda, Trina, Tamar and Ms. Evelyn back on their screens in an elevated, docuseries format — and demanded more. So, we are delighted to see the ladies return for more and thankful that they trust We TV to, once again, tell their story with the utmost care, respect and integrity,” Dismuke added.

Executive producers on the new show include Tara Long, Ri-Karlo Handy, Oji Singletary, Michelle Kongkasuwan and Datari Turner alongside Toni, Towanda, Trina, Tamar and Evelyn Braxton. Angela Molloy executive produces for WE tv.

Season 2 of The Braxtons premieres in October on WE tv, and streams on AllBlk and AMC+. The exact premiere date will be announced later this year.

AllBlk is a streaming service featuring movies, TV shows, live stand-up performances and documentaries aimed at African American audiences. More details on the platform can be found at AllBlk.tv.
