Brandy Norwood is partnering with Lifetime for a new Christmas movie and she’s making it a family affair.
The multi-hyphenate leads the cast and executive produces Christmas Everyday, which is also the name of a song she released in 2023.
Brandy’s real-life daughter Sy’Rai Smith will make her acting debut in the movie as the singer and actress’ sister, Lifetime announced Wednesday.

The project is part of the network’s 2025 “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime” holiday slate.
“The holidays are always about family as part of the festivities, so I’m beyond thrilled to be partnering with Lifetime on this magical holiday project and having my own daughter star with me – even though we are playing sisters!,” Brandy said in a statement. “’It’s a Wonderful Lifetime’ has become such a beloved tradition, and I’m honored to star and executive produce.”
Debbi Morgan (All My Children and Beauty in Black), Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman (UnReal), Melissa Kurland (Ballers), Journey Carter (Kingdom Business), and newcomer Robert C. Riley also have roles in the movie.
Brandy plays Francine “Fancy” Ballantine, a fashion designer juggling her career and family obligations. After her father dies and her mother Evelyn (Morgan) begins to lose her sight, Fancy remains determined to continue her father’s Christmas traditions. But she faces challenges, including from her bridezilla baby sister Belle (Smith).
“When a water pipe bursts and disrupts the fairytale wedding plans, Fancy finds herself unexpectedly drawn to the rugged, yet charming contractor Jaylen (Robert C. Riley) who is tasked with renovating the house. Through all the chaos, she learns valuable lessons about faith, family, and the true meaning of Christmas,” according to the official description.
The movie will debut as Brandy travels the nation with fellow R&B singer Monica for their multi-city The Boy Is Mine Tour, which was announced on June 25. The two singers are co-headlining the tour and will be joined by Kelly Rowland, Muni Long, Jamal Roberts, and Coco Jones.
Fans can next see Brandy in Christmas Everyday, which premieres Nov. 29, 2025 at 8pm PT/ET on Lifetime.
The movie is produced by Fox Entertainment Studios (FES) and Motion Entertainment, A WPP Media Company, for Lifetime. The film will feature Brandy’s song “Christmas Everyday.”
Executive producers include Stella Bulochnikov, Dr. Holly Carter, and Ryan Ramsey along with Fernando Szew, Hannah Pillemer, Larry Grimaldi, and Adam Shepard.
