Wendy Williams is stepping back from her daytime talk show because of complications from Graves’ disease.
“Recently, Wendy has been dealing with symptoms from her Graves’ disease which is causing fatigue. In consultation with her doctor and as a precautionary measure, she will be taking some time off as she continues to receive treatment,” a spokesperson for the show said in a statement to Variety on Monday.
“We look forward to welcoming Wendy back soon and continuing the ‘Wendy@Home’ shows. More updates on a return date will follow,” the statement continued.
Production on the show has been halted at least through the end of the week, and no return date has been set.

In January 2019, producers announced Williams would take an extended break to recover from complications of Graves’ disease.
More recently, The Wendy Williams Show resumed production on April 6, after a three-and-a-half week hiatus because of the coronavirus pandemic. Since returning, Williams has been taping episodes from a dining table in her New York apartment.
“This is the way it’s going to be for quite some time, so might as well get used to this,” Williams said in April. “I’m in my apartment. You’re going to get one angle, which is the angle that you see. There will be no virtual tours, no nothin’. This is all my stuff. This is the mess that I am. How are YOU holding up?!”
Wendy Williams created and hosts the daytime talk show, which premiered in 2008. It is shown in national syndication on local television stations around the country. Check local listings.
