The model and mogul says she stayed for years, even though she was unhappy and the relationship threatened her career.

“We probably broke up like 14, 15 times,” she explains. “There were things that he said or made me feel like I couldn’t leave or if I left, I had to go back.”

Friends and family urged her to move on, but it took years before she got the courage to walk away.

“It took so many different friends and family for me to finally say goodbye to him,” she says.

The supermodel admits the experience helped her understand why women in similar situations remain with abusive partners.

Banks also discusses leaving Top Model and a hair nightmare on a Victoria’s Secret shoot. You can watch the full interview on Uncensored, Sunday, Oct. 13 at 9/8c on TV One.
