Tyra Banks is coming back to host the milestone 30th season of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars.
The network made the announcement Tuesday, and Banks celebrated the news with a post on Instagram, writing: “#DWTS 2021??”
The model and entrepreneur began hosting the celebrity dance competition last summer.

Still, some fans aren’t happy that Banks is returning. Twitter user @jolinegkg tweeted: “Ugh, why Tyra Banks again? #DWTS”
@Renee68888778 wrote: “Oh no Tyra Banks back on DWTS ,Guess I won’t be watching…Watching her is like watching a Robot!”
Twitter user @zigjo petitioned for original DWTS host Tom Bergeron to come back: “@DancingABC I have watched DWTS from the very beginning. I love Tom Bergeron as host! I watched last season with Tyra Banks as host, and nothing against Tyra, but this is definitely not her gig.I found the costume changes and catwalk performance unnecessary & boring. #BringBackTom”
Bergeron had been hosting the competition series since its premiere in 2005. In 2014, ESPN sportscaster Erin Andrews became his co-host. Both were replaced last year by Banks, who is now an executive producer on the show.
Last season’s cast included Nelly, Vernon Davis, Skai Jackson and Charles Oakley. ABC said it will announce this season’s contestants and a premiere date soon.
