Brandy is joining the cast of ABC’s music drama pilot Queens alongside Eve, Naturi Naughton and Pepi Sonuga.

On Monday, Brandy posted the news with fans on her Instagram account. The Moesha actress captioned the post: “For all my #Queens! So excited to share this news with y’all. Thank you God for allowing me to bring my two loves music and acting together!”

As previously reported, the show follows a group of women in their 40s who reunite for an opportunity to relive the fame they had as the Nasty Bi-ches — a popular hip-hop group in the ‘90s.

Brandy will play the character of Naomi, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Naomi thought she was destined for musical greatness after her career with the Nasty Bi-ches — but it didn’t quite pan out that way. She also wants to rebuild her relationship with her daughter and the only man she ever loved.

The Grammy Award-winning artist will also be contributing original music to the show. Brandy’s most recent television role was as Cassie Brown in Fox’s Star series.

Queens is from Scandal co-executive producer Zahir McGhee and ABC Signature. Tim Story (Tom & Jerry, Ride Along) and Sabrina Wind join McGhee as executive producers on the drama series.
