Here’s the official description from Netflix: “In the hopes of becoming partner, a criminal defense attorney takes on the case of an artist who may or may not have murdered his girlfriend.”

Mea Culpa marks Perry’s fifth project for the streaming giant.

As previously reported he’s currently working on Six Triple Eight, which tells the true story of 855 women who served in the 6888th Postal Directory Battalion during World War II. The film stars Kerry Washington. Perry is writing the screenplay based on an article by Kevin M. Hymel, which was published in WWII History magazine.

Rowland starred in the Netflix horror comedy The Curse of Bridge Hollow, which was released in October. The film centers on a father-daughter duo (Marlon Wayans and Priah Ferguson) dealing with a supernatural menace haunting their hometown. The cast also includes Rob Riggle, John Michael Higgins, Nia Vardalos, Lauren Lapkus, Holly J. Barrett, Myles Perez, Abi Monterey and Helen Slayton-Hughes.
