Every family has secrets and in the new TV One thriller Montross: Blood Rules, those secrets have dire consequences.
The original movie focuses on attorney Robyn Montross (played by Dawn Halfkenny), who returns to her hometown of Evansdale at her father’s request. Instead of enjoying a happy family reunion, Robyn uncovers the web of lies that helped secure her family’s power and prominence in the community for generations. Consumed by guilt, Robyn is forced to face a dark secret that has haunted her for years.
In addition to Halfkenny, the cast includes Richard Brooks (as Cordell “Dell” Montross, Sr.), Dwayne Boyd (as CJ “Jackie” Montross), Sheléa Frazier (as Nia Montross), Renelle Nicole (as Monty), Jon Eyez (as Teddy), Leslie Black (as Sedi), Kamel Goffin (as Travis), and Victoria Rowell plays Elaine Montross.

The Young and the Restless alum Rowell also directed the film from a script written by Camara Davis. The movie is produced by Jami McCoy-Lankford of Hillionaire Productions.
“We’re excited to partner again with Victoria Rowell, Jami McCoy-Lankford and Camara Davis, a phenomenal dream team, to tell this story,” TV One executive producer Jason Ryan said in a statement. “Our TV One audience will enjoy all of the plot’s twists and turns in this film.”
Rowell has a longstanding partnership with TV One and previously directed the movie Stranger Next Door, which debuted in July.
Montross: Blood Rules premieres Saturday, Oct. 1 at 8/7C on TV One.
Just before the movie debuts, fans can join TV One for the official virtual red carpet premiere Saturday night at 7/6C by visiting TV One’s YouTube page. The virtual celebration will feature one-on-one interviews with the film’s cast and TV One executives.
