Former President Donald Trump turned himself in Thursday at Georgia’s Fulton County Jail, where he was booked on 13 felony counts in connection with an alleged plot to overturn the 2020 election.

The 2024 presidential candidate’s jail visit marked the fourth time this year he’s surrendered to authorities to face criminal charges, but it was the first time he was subjected to a mugshot.

Trump is now the only sitting or former U.S. president have a booking photo taken. The picture showed a scowling Trump dressed in a blue suit, white shirt and red tie.

He was given inmate number P01135809, and quickly released on a previously-negotiated $200,000 bond.

After leaving jail, Trump posted a copy of the mugshot on his 2024 campaign website, along with a statement insisting he committed no crime.

“Today, at the notoriously violent jail in Fulton County, Georgia, I was ARRESTED despite having committed NO CRIME,” the statement read. “What has taken place is a travesty of justice and ELECTION INTERFERENCE.”

As MAGA supporters and Trump detractors anxiously awaited the release of his booking photo, #TrumpMugShot became the top trend on Twitter/X and inspired countless memes.

One person compared Trump’s scowl to Dr. Seuss character The Grinch.

Another person said Trump had the same facial expression as someone who realizes Chick-Fil-A is closed on Sundays.

Someone else said Trump looked like an angry Starbucks barista when you don’t tip.

Another person thought Trump had the same look you get when you order Diet Coke and get Pepsi instead.
