Tina Knowles-Lawson’s Los Angeles Home Burglarized

An investigation in underway into a burglary at the Los Angeles home of Tina Knowles-Lawson, authorities confirmed Sunday.

The break-in happened in the Hollywood Hills on the morning of Wednesday, July 5, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

There was no one home at the time of the burglary, police said.

The LAPD’s Media Relations section said a police report was taken after the burglary, but the department would not confirm who lives at the location.

No arrests had been made as of Sunday morning.

TMZ, which was among the first outlets to report on the crime, said the thieves took a safe that had more than $1 million in cash and jewelry inside.

Law enforcement sources told the outlet investigators are talking to neighbors and plan to comb through security footage from the area.

Knowles-Lawson is the mother of Beyoncé and Solange Knowles.

She divorced music manager Mathew Knowles in 2011, and married actor Richard Lawson in 2015.

Knowles-Lawson is a fashion designer known for launching the brands House of Deréon and Miss Tina by Tina Knowles.

Last year she had a role in Lifetime’s Wrath: A Seven Deadly Sins Story starring former Destiny’s Child member Michelle Williams, Monique Coleman, Romeo Miller, and Antonio Cupo.

The movie premiered on April 16, 2022, and was part of the network’s Seven Deadly Sins anthology film series from executive producers T.D. Jakes, Derrick Williams and Shaun Robinson. Based on the series of books by Victoria Christopher Murray, Wrath was the third film in the franchise.

Knowles-Lawson also executive produced the OWN docuseries Profiled: The Black Man. The four-part series premiered in February 2022, and examined the origins of stereotypes about Black men in America.
