‘They Will Kill You’ Gets Streaming Release Date on HBO Max

Fans will soon be able to stream They Will Kill You, when the film arrives on HBO Max.

The psychological horror comedy is set to debut on the platform June 12 and premiere on the HBO linear channel the next day, Warner Bros. recently announced.

Atlanta alum Zazie Beetz leads the cast as a young woman named Asia, who gets a housekeeping job at a mysterious New York City high-rise.

Things aren’t what they seem. She ends up trapped inside the building’s locked doors, while being hunted by a demonic cult headquartered inside. But Asia is highly skilled at defending herself and manages to fight back against her attackers.

The cast also includes Tom Felton (Harry Potter), Heather Graham (Bowfinger), Patricia Arquette (Severance), Myha’La (Bodies Bodies Bodies), and Paterson Joseph (Wonka).

Kirill Sokolov directed the New Line Cinema and Nocturna film from a screenplay co-written by Sokolov and Alex Litvak.

The Warner Bros. release arrived in theaters on March 27. It made a muted debut at the box office, and eventually earned $19.3 million worldwide against a reported $20 million budget.

Critics gave the film a solid 64% score on Rotten Tomatoes, saying its “hyper-stylized action” sequences deliver “an adrenaline rush.” Moviegoers liked what they saw and handed it a 77% Popcornmeter score on the website.

debuts on HBO Max Friday, June 12, with a premiere on HBO Saturday, June 13 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
