The ladies of The View are coming back to the studio for the show’s 25th season, and they’re inviting several guest hosts to join them at the table.

The daytime talk show returns to its New York City headquarters for the live premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 7. The new season finds Whoopi Goldberg and co-hosts Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin and Sara Haines reuniting in-person for the first time since in March 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic started.

“Twenty five years is such an incredible milestone,” executive producer Brian Teta said in a statement. “We have so much planned to honor this amazing platform that Barbara Walters created. I can’t think of a better way to kick off that celebration than by welcoming the co-hosts back to the iconic View table and to have them in front of a live studio audience again.”

To celebrate its silver anniversary, the show will be inviting back several former co-hosts. A group of rotating conservative fill-in hosts will also join the conversation, while producers search for a permanent replacement for Meghan McCain, who departed at the end of season 24.

First up as guest host is former Utah congresswoman Mia Love during premiere week. She’ll be followed by former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice; political commentator S.E. Cupp; former presidential candidate Carly Fiorina; attorney and television host Eboni K. Williams; The Federalist writer Mary Katharine Ham; Trump administration communications assistant Alyssa Farah; Southern Charm star Cameran Eubanks; as well as producer, author and former Fox News host Gretchen Carlson throughout the coming months.

Political commentator Ana Navarro also continues in her role as a guest co-host, and will be making regular appearances.

In addition to the guest panelists, past View co-hosts will return on Fridays for “Flashback Friday” to talk about their time on the show. On Friday, Sept. 10, Star Jones returns for the first “Flashback Friday” and will discuss her nine-season run as one of the show’s original hosts.

The Daytime Emmy-winning talk show debuted in 1997, and was created by Barbara Walters.

The legendary broadcaster chose a group of original hosts from different ages and walks of life — working mothers, professionals in their 30s, young women starting out in their careers, women who had already seen and experienced life. The original panelists included broadcast journalist Meredith Vieira, lawyer Jones, television host Debbie Matenopoulos, and comedian Behar.

Behar took a break from hosting the show in 2013, but returned in 2015 and has been co-hosting since.

The View returns to ABC on Tuesday, Sept. 7 at 11:00 a.m. EDT.
