Pete Davidson and Eddie Murphy land in a world of trouble in the first trailer for The Pickup.

Amazon MGM Studios released the preview on Monday, June 9, featuring the two SNL alums as mismatched armored truck drivers Russell (Murphy) and Travis (Davidson).

The pair’s routine day turns to chaos after Davidson hooks up with Keke Palmer, and unknowingly gets caught in a honey trap.

“I got laid!” an excited Davidson tells the guys at work. What he doesn’t know is he got played.

While he’s out on a cash run with his older, married co-worker Murphy, thieves blow up the back of their truck and take the two hostage.

“Remember your training,” Murphy tells him. But Davidson admits he only took an online safety class.

After demanding to see the face of their captor, Davidson can’t believe his eyes — it’s the woman he spent the night with. “I’m gonna throw up,” he says.

The action-packed trailer also features Eva Longoria as Murphy’s wife and Marshawn Lynch as Palmer’s accomplice.

Ismael Cruz Cordova, Jack Kesy, Andrew Dice Clay, and Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoa’i also have roles in the film.

Tim Story (Barbershop and Ride Along) directed the film from a script written by Kevin Burrows and Matt Mider.

Eddie Murphy produces alongside John Davis, John Fox, Tim Story, and Charisse Hewitt-Webster.

The Pickup arrives on Prime Video Aug. 6, 2025.
