Netflix has released the trailer for The Perfect Find, a steamy new romantic comedy starring Gabrielle Union and Keith Powers.
In the film, Union plays Jenna Jones, a seasoned fashion industry veteran determined to resurrect her career after a high-profile firing and a very public breakup.
The trailer shows Jenna’s mom, played by Janet Hubert, giving her daughter an extra push after she kicks her out of the family home.
“Don’t you think it’s time to get back at it, now I’m going to have to ask you get out of my house,” the protective mom says.

Determined to revive her career, Jenna takes on a challenging new job with Darcy, played by Gina Torres, a renowned and uncompromising mogul.
But things get complicated when Jenna finds herself falling for her much younger colleague Eric (Keith Powers), who also happens to be Darcy’s son.
Jenna is shocked to learn her new love interest is the boss’ son.
As Jenna and Eric’s romance heats up, she must decide whether to risk everything on a secret relationship, and if their age difference will be too much to overcome, or to just move on.
“Why are you making it so complicated?” Eric says to Jenna in the trailer.
“This is reckless. This affects my career. How I move through the world. How I’m respected, how I’m regarded,” Jenna responds.
The trailer wraps up with Eric telling Jenna, “I know a good thing when I see one, and I think you do too.”
The movie also stars Aisha Hinds, DB Woodside, and La La Anthony.
It’s based on the book by Tia Williams and directed by Numa Perrier, with a screenplay by Leigh Davenport.

The Perfect Find premieres on Netflix June 23.
