Pooch Hall is making an epic TV comeback in Carl Weber’s The Family Business: New Orleans.
This time instead of playing a professional football player like he did in The Game, the actor portrays a ruthless enforcer who has no problem burying anyone who gets in his way.
The crime drama, which is a spinoff of The Family Business, premiered Jan. 23 on BET+. It focuses on the New Orleans side of the Duncan Family, which runs a popular nightclub and casino in The Big Easy called “Midnight Blues.”
The series also stars Brandon T. Jackson, Lela Rochon, and Yvette Nicole Brown.

In an interview with Urban Hollywood 411, Hall said the show’s storylines and cast will keep viewers coming back.
“Yes, we’re professionals, but we’re also friends,” he explained about the core cast.
“I think that makes a big difference as far as the chemistry, and that chemistry is something that is important to us because we want to make sure as the audience is watching, they will continue to watch… I think when people see The Family Business: New Orleans, they’re going to be hooked!” he said.
The series follows Shirley Duncan (Rochon), who owns Midnight Blues and is trying to combat the fallout from a deadly incident involving the brother of a ruthless drug dealer (played by David Banner).
Shirley gets help from her son Marquis Duncan (Jackson), her brother Floyd (Hall), and her cousin Monique (Brown), in order to protect the family business.
Ben Stephens, Quincy Brown and Orlando Jones also have roles on the show.
Carl Weber and Nikaya D. Brown Jones serve as showrunners and executive producers. Trey Haley directs and co-executive produces.
The Family Business: New Orleans is now streaming on BET+.
