Tamron Hall received her first Daytime Emmy Award on Sunday after being named Outstanding Informative Talk Show Host.

Hall hosts the syndicated Tamron Hall show, which premiered in September 2019. The talk show host appeared stunned by the win and gave a virtual acceptance speech — wearing a bathrobe.

“Thank you so much to the Daytime Emmys. My mom said I shouldn’t look like this,” a makeup-free Hall said. “I just got a call that I won an Emmy for my first year of a daytime talk show!”

The Tamron Hall show features a mix of celebrity guests along with topics ranging from beauty secrets to social issues.

The series is produced and distributed by Disney-ABC Domestic Television, and was recently renewed for a second season.

This year’s Daytime Emmy Awards were handed out in three phases. The main show aired June 26 on CBS with the winners appearing remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The remaining categories were streamed in virtual ceremonies on July 19 (digital) and July 26 (children’s, lifestyle and animated programming).
