Tamar Braxton says she was recently hospitalized and is now recovering from the flu.
On Thursday, Dec. 22, the singer and TV personality took to social media to reveal she was rushed to Northside Hospital in Atlanta when the symptoms got really bad.
“This isn’t an attention post… this is an ATTENTION post,” Braxton shared on Instagram.”Literally I was with my best friends @normankgyamfi and @wardellmalloy shopping and doing Christmas fun sht and the very next day I had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance, needed oxygen cause I thought God was taking me home cause I could not breathe and my chest was on FIRE!!”
The reality star included a gallery of pictures and a videos, including a photo of herself in a hospital bed. She said she was treated by the “best” nurses and doctors, including Married to Medicine star Dr. Jackie Walters.
“Y’all, I have the flu and let me tell u it’s worse than COVID in my opinion. I’m on 5 different medications,” she shared.
Braxton ended the post by telling her followers to take care of themselves this holiday season and if possible, stay at home.
“Please be careful,” she added. “I wasn’t around a lot people and have no idea where it came from.. enjoy y’all holiday at home.. u don’t want this … oh yeah I’m completely isolated cause it’s hella contagious. I love y’all for real.”
According to the weekly “FluView” from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as of Dec. 23, “Seasonal influenza activity remains high but is declining in most areas.”
