Tamar Braxton is teaming up with celebrity hairstylist Johnny Wright for a new VH1 reality series on hairstyles gone wrong called To Catch a Beautician.
According to VH1’s description, Braxton and Wright will help disgruntled customers confront the stylists who damaged their hair. Wright will then put the beauticians through a hair boot camp. Armed with new skills and techniques, the beauticians will have a chance to redeem themselves by redoing their client’s hair.
Braxton told Variety she’s kept the series secret for a year.
“I’ve been so excited about this. This is like a dream come true to be able to host a show that’s so much fun,” she said. “To meet so many amazing people and to be able to inspire and be inspired at the same time, It’s such a feel good show. … You crack up, but you feel good about yourself after watching it. I’m just really, really grateful to be a part of that.”
