NBC’s upcoming legal drama Suits: L.A. has cast Lex Scott Davis as a shrewd attorney.
The Suits spinoff will feature all-new characters and is set on the West Coast, unlike the original series which unfolded in New York.
Davis will portray Erica Rollins, “a savvy and strong-willed rising star” in the legal world, NBC said Wednesday.
The actress joins previously announced stars Stephen Amell as Ted Black, and Josh McDermitt as Rick Dodsen, Black’s protege.
According to the official description, the pilot revolves around Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York, who has “reinvented himself, representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles.” Black’s firm is in crisis and he takes steps that go against his personal beliefs in order to survive.

Davis made her television debut as Toni Braxton in the 2016 Lifetime movie Unbreak My Heart. She also previously had roles in ABC’s Rebel, the short-lived CBS adaptation Training Day, Netflix’s Florida Man, and the films Superfly (2018), The First Purge (2018), and Son of the South (2020).
She is repped by CAA, Entertainment 360 and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
Suits: LA comes from UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group.
Suits creator Aaron Korsh is writing and executive producing the pilot. Additional executive producers include David Bartis, Doug Liman, and Gene Klein. Victoria Mahoney will direct and co-executive produce.
The pilot was announced after USA Network legal drama Suits began streaming on Netflix in June 2023, and shattered viewing records.
The series originally aired from June 2011 to September 2019. The cast included Gabriel Macht (“Harvey Specter”), Gina Torres (“Jessica Pearson”), Patrick J. Adams (“Mike Ross”), Meghan Markle (“Rachel Zane”), Rick Hoffman (“Louis Litt”), and Sarah Rafferty (“Donna Paulsen”).
So far, there’s no word if any of the original cast will have roles on the spinoff.
