Spike Lee’s new joint Da 5 Bloods will debut on Netflix next month, the director announced Thursday on social media. He included a shot of the teaser poster, which features a black military figure with red tears dripping from one eye.

According to Netflix’s description of the film, it follows four African-American veterans who return to Vietnam to search for the remains of their fallen squad leader and the promise of buried treasure. They end up battling forces of man and nature — while confronted by the lasting ravages of the immorality of the Vietnam War.

The film stars Chadwick Boseman, Delroy Lindo, Jonathan Majors, Paul Walter Hauser, and The Wire alums Clarke Peters and Isiah Whitlock Jr.

The director is fresh off of winning a Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar for BlacKkKlansman. He previously adapted his film She’s Gotta Have it into a series for Netflix.

Da 5 Bloods will premiere globally on the streaming platform on Friday, June 12.
