The 2023 Soul Train Awards celebrated music, songwriting and Black culture.
Keke Palmer hosted the awards, which saw SZA lead the winners list with four trophies, including Best R&B/Soul Female Artist, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and The Ashford and Simpson Songwriter’s Award.
Usher picked up three wins — Best R&B/Soul Male Artist, Certified Soul, and Best Collaboration with Summer Walker and 21 Savage.
Rising star Victoria Monét won two awards, including Best Dance Performance and Video of The Year.

Coco Jones was named Best New Artist.
T-Pain was honored with the Legend Award and Janelle Monáe picked up the Spirit of Soul Award. The two also performed at the show.
The ceremony was taped in Beverly Hills, and aired Nov. 26, on BET and BET Her.
Encore presentations will be broadcast on Monday, Nov. 27 at 9 PM ET/PT on BET and Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 6 PM ET/PT on BET.
The awards air internationally on BET Africa on Monday, Nov. 27 at 3:00 CAT, BET France on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 20:45 PM CET. The show will also be available to watch on My5 and Sky On-Demand in the UK beginning Thursday, Nov. 30.
