The 2028 Summer Olympics will be taking place in Los Angeles and to celebrate, several big stars —  including Snoop Dogg — rocked out in Long Beach.

“Long Beach City,  here we go,” Snoop told a large crowd during Sunday’s handover part of the 2024 Olympics closing ceremony.

Snoop performed his 2004 hit song, “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” with an elaborate LA 28 sculpture behind him and one of his backup dancers.

Snoop wasn’t alone either, his friend and legendary rapper,  Dr. Dre joined him on the beach.

The ceremony continued with the two performing Dr. Dre’s 2000 hit, “The Next Episode,” with red, yellow, blue, purple and green fireworks as Snoop waved an Olympic flag.

Snoop and Dr. Dre weren’t the only ones to perform at the handover ceremony, Southern California native Billie Eilish played “Birds Of A Feather” and Rock & Roll Hall of Famers the Red Hot Chili Peppers belted out “Can’t Stop.”

While Long Beach had a star-studded feature, the closing ceremony in Paris included H.E.R. performing “The Star-Spangled Banner” with a rock guitar solo, and Mission Impossible star Tom Cruise performing a stunt from the roof of the Stade de France arena.

Cruise picked up the official five-ringed Olympic flag from gymnastics champion Simone  Biles and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, then he rode off on a motorcycle to bring the flag to L.A.

Throughout the two weeks of competition, Snoop Dogg provided commentary for NBC.

The hip-hop star could be seen in the crowd wearing custom T-shirts for Team USA when he wasn’t doing color commentary.
