And Just Like That… the ladies of Sex and the City are back together again.
HBO Max has unveiled a first look at upcoming sequel series titled And Just Like That… ahead of the show’s December premiere.
“They say some things never change, but the truth is life is full of surprises,” Sarah Jessica Parker says in the trailer. “And as your story unfolds, the city reinvents itself… and just like that, a new chapter begins.”

The 10-episode series follows SJP’s character Carrie, along with Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte (played by Kristin Davis) as they navigate life and friendship in their 50s.
Also along on the journey are previously announced cast members Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, Karen Pittman, Chris Noth, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Willie Garson, and Evan Handler are all on board. Notably absent is breakout star Kim Cattrall who has moved on from SATC.
Sex and the City became one of HBO’s marquee shows when it launched in 1998, and ran for six seasons. The show was followed by two feature films in 2008 and 2010, and a prequel from The CW titled The Carrie Diaries which lasted two seasons.
Michael Patrick King, who won an Emmy for his directing work on SATC, and wrote and directed both of its feature films, is back to executive produce the show.
Executive producers on the new series are Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, Julie Rottenberg, Elisa Zuritsky, John Melfi and Michael Patrick King. Writers include King, Samantha Irby, Rachna Fruchbom, Keli Goff, Julie Rottenberg and Elisa Zuritsky.
The first two episodes of And Just Like That… will debut on Thursday, Dec. 9 on HBO Max. The following eight episodes will premiere weekly on subsequent Thursdays.
