Basketball Wives alum Royce Reed has been released from jail after turning herself in on suspicion of child neglect.

Reed was charged on March 10 in Orange County, Florida, with third-degree felony neglect of a child, according to documents obtained by Radar Online.

The case involves Reed’s 14-year-old son Braylon, whom she shares with NBA star Dwight Howard.

Radar reports one of the rules set by a judge is that Braylon is not allowed near children two years younger than him without an adult present because of a past issue. He allegedly violated the rules, and Reed is being blamed.

The Shade Room obtained an arrest warrant and posted it on Instagram. The warrant, dated March 8, says “Royce Lyndsay Reed, did, in violation of Florida State Statute(s) commit Child Neglect.” The warrant  graphically details a disturbing allegation that Braylon engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct with a minor a year ago. It adds that the teen has “a history of sexual behaviors. ” He has been in treatment for eight months, the warrant goes on to say.

The Radar report says during an interview with police, Braylon told authorities the last time he saw Howard was “when he was in town for a basketball game, which was a while ago,” or “sometime during the 2020 quarantine.”

Because of the case, Reed reportedly had to surrender to authorities and was released a short time later.
